Loyola 5K Race/Walk and Childrens Character Competition
Come run to support the Neonatal ICU at our 5K event! The inaugural run of the Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital at Loyola University Medical Center 5K Race/Walk and Children’s Character Competition will be Sunday, June 10.
See http://loyolamedicine.org/childrenshospital/support/5krace for more details. Watch a video about the event.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit renovation at the Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital at LUMC.
You’ll enjoy your run or walk on a scenic, flat course that winds through the LUMC and Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital (Hines) campus. This safe and fast course is perfect for groups to run or walk together, or for serious runners who want to turn on the after-burners. It will also be a USAT&F Certified Course.
After the 5K Race/Walk, we will hold a Children’s Character Competition, where young people ages 4 to 10 will get to run and romp with some beloved mascots, including Ronald McDonald, Staley of the Chicago Bears, Chuck E. Cheese and many others. Some of these mascots are already training.
Chef Dan & the Appetizers will play during a party at the finish line, and there will be plenty of childrens activities.
